2002-2006 “Renaming of the Richard C. Sullivan Public Library of Wilton Manors” – mini-archive documenting the biography of Richard C. Sullivan, and the renaming of our library in recognition of his philanthropic legacy.
1950-2006 “Wilton Manors Police Department – Joan Kon Collection” – personal collection of documents related to WMPD. These include “scrapbooks” of newspaper clippings, administrative documents and department statistics. [Part 1] — [Part 2] — [Part 3] — [Part 4]. 1997 “City of Wilton Manors 50th Birthday Celebration” – Documents and images from the City’s 50th Birthday; including stage show, birthday cake, parade, and other events and Commemorative Program with McIver’s WM history.
Also images of the contents of “50th Birthday Time Capsule Opened for 75th Anniversary”, which include detailed 50th Birthday event documents and programs; as well as miscellaneous ephemera. “Press Releases and Event Programs mini-archive” — “Ephemera/Memorabilia [abridged] mini-archive” — “WM officials’ Letters & other cities’ Proclamations mini-archive”.
1950-1957 “Wilton Manors new City Hall-the backstory and vintage images” mini-archive – Begins with the seven-year history of the politics involved in site-selection and construction of a “new” City Hall (to replace the original Village Hall and City Offices on Wilton Dr.). Followed by vintage images of the former, and then recently-discovered exterior and interior images of the new structure.
1940s-1998 “City of Wilton Manors ‘Municipal Photo Collection'” – Misc images found in preparation for the City’s 75th Anniversary; digitized by WM City Manager’s Office 03/2022 and enhanced and annotated by WMHS.
